INTRODUCTION
Discover the Goru Pass, an ancient shepherd’s trail connecting the serene Duhangan Valley. Nestled in the picturesque subsidiary valleys of the Beas River, this hidden gem offers a tranquil trekking experience amidst lush landscapes. Our journey begins in Manali and takes you to the charming village of Jagatsukh, from where we traverse a series of hairpin turns to reach the starting point at Khanol Village.
The trek to the Goru Pass leads through enchanting forests and meadow ridgelines, offering breathtaking views of the high-altitude alpine lake, Shirgan Tungu Saur, situated just above Jagatsukh. The hike is both scenic and challenging, with the route initially following the path of the Deo Tibba climb. Historically, Deo Tibba and Indrasan were first ascended via the Kalu Nalla and Goru Pass region.
This two-day trek covers moderate terrain along the Duhangan Nalla, culminating at the stunning Seri flatlands, renowned for its cascading waterfalls over Tenta cliffs. From there, we diverge from the Deo Tibba route to navigate through the Goru Pass, leading us to the quaint village of Khaknal. This secluded adventure promises an unforgettable experience amidst the beauty of the Himalayas.
