INTRODUCTION
Mt. Deo Tibba (6,001m) is one of the most sought-after mountaineering peaks in Himachal Pradesh and a classic Himalayan expedition for climbers looking to progress from trekking peaks to technical alpine climbing. Located in the spectacular Pir Panjal Range above the Kullu Valley near Manali, the mountain offers an exciting combination of glacier travel, snow climbing, high-altitude camping, and breathtaking Himalayan scenery.
The expedition follows the beautiful Duhangan Valley through ancient forests, alpine meadows, glacial lakes, and vast snowfields before reaching the upper glacier system beneath the summit. Climbers are rewarded with outstanding views of Indrasan, Ali Ratni Tibba, Devachan, Papsura, Dharamsura (White Sail), and numerous peaks of the Kullu and Lahaul Himalaya.

DAY 01 : ARRIVAL IN DELHI | ELEVATION: 216 M
Welcome to India. Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Himalayan Yeti Adventure and transferred to your hotel.
After some rest, proceed to the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) office to complete expedition registration, permit verification, and other mandatory climbing formalities. Meet IMF officials and receive important expedition and environmental guidelines.
In the evening, attend a detailed expedition briefing with your expedition leader covering the climbing itinerary, acclimatization plan, equipment checks, weather forecast, and safety procedures.

DAY 02 : DRIVE FROM DELHI TO MANALI | DISTANCE: 500 KM | DRIVE TIME: 10–12 HOURS
After breakfast, begin the scenic drive to Manali through the foothills of Himachal Pradesh. Travel alongside rivers, forests, and picturesque mountain landscapes as you gradually enter the Himalayas.
Upon arrival in Manali, check into your hotel and relax after the journey.

DAY 03 : MANALI | ACCLIMATIZATION & EQUIPMENT CHECK
Today is reserved for acclimatization and final expedition preparations. Conduct a complete equipment inspection with your guides and arrange any additional rental gear if required.
Later, explore Old Manali, the historic Hadimba Temple, and the surrounding cedar forests. A final expedition briefing will be conducted in the evening before departure into the mountains.

DAY 04 : MANALI – KHANOL – CHIKKA (3,160 M) | TREK: 2–3 HOURS
After breakfast, drive to Khanol, the starting point of the expedition. Begin trekking along the Duhangan Nallah through forests and grazing pastures.
The trail gradually ascends through beautiful scenery before reaching Chikka, where camp will be established beside the stream.

DAY 05 : CHIKKA TO SERI (3,620 M) | TREK: 4–5 HOURS
Today's trek takes you beyond the tree line into the expansive alpine meadows of Seri. Enjoy magnificent views of surrounding peaks, lush grasslands, and glacier-fed streams.
Upon arrival, establish camp and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

DAY 06 : SERI TO TENTA BASE CAMP (4,000 M) | TREK: 4–5 HOURS
Continue ascending towards Tenta Base Camp beneath the impressive glaciers of Deo Tibba.
After lunch, undertake an acclimatization hike to Chota Chandratal Lake (4,480 m), a beautiful glacial lake offering panoramic views of the route ahead and surrounding peaks.
Return to Base Camp for overnight stay.

DAY 07 : LOAD FERRY TO ADVANCE BASE CAMP (4,500 M) | DURATION: 6–7 HOURS
Carry climbing equipment, food supplies, and expedition gear to Advance Base Camp. This load-ferry day plays an important role in acclimatization and preparation for higher camps.
After spending time at altitude, descend back to Base Camp for the night.

DAY 08 : MOVE TO ADVANCE BASE CAMP (4,500 M) | DURATION: 4–5 HOURS
Relocate permanently to Advance Base Camp.
The afternoon is dedicated to technical training including crampon techniques, fixed rope travel, self-arrest with an ice axe, glacier movement, and rescue procedures.

DAY 09 : ADVANCE BASE CAMP TO CAMP I (5,000 M)
Begin climbing through the snow gully leading towards Duhangan Col. Continue across the glacier system to establish Camp I.
This section introduces the technical terrain that characterizes the upper mountain.

DAY 10 : ACCLIMATIZATION & LOAD FERRY
Today is dedicated to acclimatization and preparation for higher camps. Carry equipment and supplies towards Camp II before returning to Camp I.
The day also provides an opportunity to review technical climbing procedures and monitor team health.

DAY 11 : CAMP I TO CAMP II (5,400 M)
Move higher through the upper glacier basin and establish Camp II below the summit ridge.
Spend the remainder of the day preparing equipment, checking weather conditions, and finalizing plans for the summit attempt.

DAY 12 : SUMMIT ATTEMPT OF MT. DEO TIBBA (6,001 M)
Begin the summit push before dawn.
Climb through steep snow slopes, mixed terrain, and the upper summit ridge to reach the summit of Mt. Deo Tibba (6,001 m). From the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Indrasan, Ali Ratni Tibba, Devachan, Papsura, Dharamsura (White Sail), and the surrounding peaks of the Kullu and Lahaul Himalaya.
After celebrating the achievement, descend carefully back to Camp II.

DAY 13 : RESERVE / CONTINGENCY DAY
A reserve day has been allocated for adverse weather conditions, additional acclimatization, or a second summit attempt if required.

DAY 14 : DESCEND TO TENTA BASE CAMP (4,000 M)
Retrace the route through Camp I and descend to Tenta Base Camp.
After several days at high altitude, enjoy a well-deserved rest and celebrate the successful completion of the climbing phase.

DAY 15 : TENTA BASE CAMP TO CHIKKA | TREK: 5–6 HOURS
Begin the descent through the Duhangan Valley, passing alpine meadows and glacial streams before reaching Chikka.
Enjoy the final night of camping in the mountains.

DAY 16 : CHIKKA – KHANOL – MANALI
After breakfast, trek down to Khanol where vehicles will be waiting.
Drive back to Manali and check into your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for relaxation, sightseeing, or shopping in the local market.

DAY 17 : MANALI TO DELHI | FAREWELL DINNER
After breakfast, drive from Manali to Delhi through the scenic valleys of Himachal Pradesh and the plains of northern India.
Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax after the long journey.
In the evening, join your fellow climbers, guides, and expedition staff for a farewell dinner celebrating the successful completion of the Mt. Deo Tibba Expedition.

DAY 18 : DEPART DELHI | IMF DE-BRIEFING
Morning after breakfast, proceed to the office of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) for the official expedition de-briefing. The expedition leader will submit the expedition report and discuss route conditions, weather, summit achievements, and other important expedition details with IMF officials.
Following the de-briefing, transfer to Delhi International Airport to board your flight for your onward destination.
The expedition concludes with unforgettable memories of climbing Mt. Deo Tibba (6,001 m) and experiencing the grandeur of the Indian Himalaya.

- Any accidental, emergency, travel or medical insurance for the climbing party. It is strongly recommended that the participants get themselves comprehensively insured before the expedition.
- Any expenses of a personal nature.
- Any and all evacuation charges (medical emergency or otherwise), or hospitalization or physicians consultation charges. Your own insurance policy should also ideally, cover this.
- Any air transfers or airfare between Delhi and Bhunter or vice versa.
- Any Surface Transfers between New Delhi & Manali and vice-versa.
- Beverages or drinks of any sort, including soft drinks, alcoholic / non-alcoholic drinks or bottled / mineral water.
- Tipping of the drivers, camp staff or guides etc.
- Any photography charges or camera charges or batteries.
- Any shopping charges or transfers for personal visits to the market etc.
- Any other services not specifically mentioned in the service inclusions.
- Any charges for a manual or helicopter evacuation, in case of a medical emergency or the like.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
If you need to cancel your trip, the following refund terms will apply based on the number of days before the scheduled tour start date:

Less than 7 days / after departure: No refund

Tour Cancellations by Himalayan Yeti Adventure

In the rare case that Himalayan Yeti Adventure must cancel a tour due to insufficient bookings, a full refund of all payments made will be issued.

If a tour is canceled, interrupted, or altered due to force majeure (such as natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, or transportation disruptions), we will strive to provide alternate arrangements. However, please note that liability in such cases may be limited.
